Sunrise in Akureyri.

The light of the low sun illuminates the peaks – collectively known as Súlur (“pillars”) – over the beautiful northern city of Akureyri.

Seen in the foreground are the terminal and runway of Akureyri airport (AEY) that runs by Eyjafjörður, the longest fjord (40 miles) in Iceland.
