It is pretty crowded though, so you should expect that. That also means lots of restaurants, touristy shops, etc. right by the beach which is convenient. It's super long and spans some parks as well. I've heard there's even a gay beach somewhere uptown in Miami Beach! Ah, and also lots of nightclubs in the area - plus there's a day club
