According to a post on its blog, Telegram Passport users now can test the verification system at epayments.com. On Telegram website, there is also a demo page where users can see to understand how the service will work. Verification options include passport, driver’s license, utility bill, bank statement, and selfie.

Documents will be secured by end-to-end encryption, and Telegram has promised that the service will eventually move to “a decentralized cloud.” Telegram is considered as a preferred communications channel of tokensales and Telegram Passport is its initiative for providing verification services. The new service also matches with Telegram’s plans to launch its own blockchain and to integrate a native token into its messaging app.
Additionally, programmatic bots will help the company to whitelist participants who are Telegram Passport members. The ability for ICOs to let Telegram examine crowdsale participants and to accept the expense and date storage responsibility, is sure to appeal
