There were many ways to engage other post. Do it nicely. It is pretty common that when somebody comment on your post, you will reply and you can check their post too.. That works fine. Visit their post as an appreciation.

Avoid spamming other post by commenting i upvotes you post, please upvote mine. That doesnt works. But you can do it this way "this post is interested. It deserves upvoted!. Or post upvoted, this post is very informative, photo is beautiful, and everything that is positive".

Engage more to the area of your interest so you can relate more and be true to yourself. So every time you comment is pure honesty and appreciation.

Remember, photographer will appreciates photos. Writer appreciate writing, crypto traders appreciate cryptoccurency and crypto-news. And many more..!

For lower reputation and new comers this will works, penalised by steemit algo is better than having no rewards and no audience with by your post.

i saw a lot of newbies doing this and get flag by the dolphins and whales leaving them with zero reputation.. believe me you should do quality not quantity.. newbies can do maximum of 10 post / day i think but not every hour because that's called spamming and everyone hates it.. dont spam steemit community

But, posting interesting topics, i doubt it if the dolphined or whales will flag it.

The reason newbies get flag is by doing copy paste articles, simply posting youtube links, commenting follow me back, posting links in somebody else post.

In my side, i still follow those who ask me, but still some higher reputation doesnt like it. They follow because they like what you share, follow for follow works for both newbies,
