I promised not to introduce classical music here. But I will make a small exception. The combination of two great artists, the combination of so many different genres. The Barcelona album, which was sung by Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballé, belongs to my top charts.
In the early nineties, my father bought a book store in a small privatization. When the goods were picked up there was a box full of tape recorders. During train journeys to school in Brno I gradually played on my walkmen. And then I listen only to this one.
Sliboval jsem, že zde nebudu představovat klasickou hudbu. Ale malou výjimku udělám. Spojení dvou skvělých umělců, spojení tolika rozličných žánrů. Album Barcelona, které nazpívali Freddie Mercury a Montserrat Caballé, patří v mém žebříčku k topu.
Otec počátkem devadesátých let vydražil v malé privatizaci prodejnu knih. A při přebírání zboží tam ležela krabice plná magnetofonových kazet. Během cest vlakem do školy v Brně jsem je postupně přehrával na svém walkmenu. A pak už točil jen tuto jedinou.
Barcelona
The first song Barcelona was presented as a resynchronization at the opening ceremony of the 1992 Olympic Games in Spain. Freddie Mercury is released from the record, Montserrat Caballé sings live. I enjoyed these games. I'm still remembering the first golden throw of Jan Železný.
Úvodní skladba Barcelona byla předvedena jako resynchronizace v rámci zahajovacího ceremoniálu Olympijských her 1992 ve Španělsku. Freddie Mercury je puštěn ze záznamu, Montserrat Caballé zpíva živě. Na tyto hry mě to pěkně navnadilo. Ještě nyní si vybavuji první zlatý hod Jana Železného.
Other songs are hard to choose. In those years, I've got the album so listened that I see it as one unit. So I choose the more action (if it can be written) The Fallen Priest ...
Z dalších skladeb se těžce vybírá. Za ty roky už mám album tak naposlouchané, že jej vnímám jako jeden celek. Tak volím akčnější (pokud se to tak dá napsat) The Fallen Priest ...
... and the multi-genre The Golden Boy.

I wish all nice and undisturbed listening.
