Thank you to CharismaOnDemand who wrote:

As soon as you've decided that you don't want to drink, you can probably expect a million people to start hassling you. This is the hardest part of learning how to not drink: dealing with the peer pressure.

The good news is that you can use these tips to tell people you don't want to drink in a way that gets them to stop bothering you AND commands their respect.

I'd recommend the book "Alcohol lied to me" by Craig Beck. It really helped me to understand everyone knows drinking is horrible for us but most ignore that fact. So when you stand out because you are the only one making the smart decision to not drink it can remind others how irresponsible they are being.

Thank you, @dp1011. I appreciate your contribution. The book is available on Amazon as both an audio book and a paper and ink book. It seems that Craig Beck also has a sequel: Alcohol Lied to Me Again. Feel free to add your affiliate link, if you are an Amazon affiliate. Maybe I will do it myself, later. I have exhausted my time on Steemit today. :) @doubletorus

Cool, I see most the physical copies are unavailable. I bought the audio book myself. Here's a link to the kindle version if anyone's interested. http://amzn.to/2sv4PHy

Hey @doubetorus, interesting post. I do drink myself but only two or three units a month, if that.
