I haven't been reading anything but reference material for my book and financial statements in quite a while (I'm at roughly 135k words rn which is too long already and, shocker, the market sucks), but last night I finally got back to Aldous Huxley's "Island".
Near the end, there's this very vivid drug experience where the main character is learning, among other things, to process and accept death. The writing is so well done that, while reading it, you could swear you're tripping right along with him.
My dreams last night were about my mother, who has been dead for some years now, and I woke up with tears running down my face. I can't think of a better compliment to give a book.
10/10 would recommend.
Here and now, boys.
