Three years after leaving Torino, Cerci returns to Italy permanently to strengthen promotion team, Hellas Verona.
Hellas Verona confirmed Alessio Cerci's recruitment on a free transfer on the exchange this summer.
The Italian is rumored to agree a one-year contract with the club, which won promotion tickets to Italy's highest caste of football last season.
Certainty of the transfer occurred less than two weeks after Atletico Madrid and Cerci agreed to terminate the contract. The 29-year-old is determined to rebuild his career after undergoing a bad three years with Rojiblancos.
Performance is not maximum Cerci can be spelled out surprisingly because Atletico spent € 16 million to bring him to Vicente Calderon. He has only appeared six times in La Liga before being loaned to AC Milan in January 2015.
He then strengthened Genoa a year later, but underwent nightmares in 2016/17 after returning to Atletico, playing only 43 minutes in the main squad after recovering from a knee injury.
