Respek vir ouers word diep beklemtoon in die Islam. Baie verse in Al-Qur'ân verklaar dat alle gelowiges goed moet doen en die ouers moet respekteer. Benewens die roeping om Allah die Almagtige te aanbid. alleen en nie assosieer met hom met enigiets
