Fear God: Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let him who accuses God answer him!

Many times we wonder why God is silent and in many situations the Lord seems to be so unfair, the wicked prosper and the humble suffer the consequences; why God, if he is so powerful, allows evil? These questions have been asked even by important philosophers, this is called in philosophy the "problem of evil".
Although these reasonings seem very logical, they suffer from a flaw, the lack of fear of God, and this is so because we want to find from our selfishness an answer to something that transcends human existence, God's creation has its rules, and it does not revolve around us. Selfishness breaks our link with the Lord, but the fear of God establishes a bridge with the creator of the universe. The fear of God is the door to the wisdom of God: "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom" Proverbs 9:10. The spiritual gift of fear of God is constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, and stability.
There is a character in the Bible, who presents us, from a very interesting point of view, this philosophical problem. The omnipotence and eternity of God are beyond all human knowledge teaches us the Book of Job. Job is a righteous man who suffers a series of misfortunes and commits a sin, wanting to judge God by the situation. Job like many of us did not understand a principle of wisdom, we must be people prepared for everything, both to be happy and not. In life just as there are good things there are also bad and that is why we need the gift of equanimity, the ability to understand without affliction.
And this is why God, at the end of the book and before ending Job's test, responds to this character in the book:
"Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him?
Let him who accuses God answer him!" Job 40:2.
Then Job, understanding his situation as a finite creature, and his error, replied:
"I am unworthy—how can I reply to you?
I put my hand over my mouth.
I spoke once, but I have no answer—
twice, but I will say no more" Job 40:4-5.
Fear God. Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him. Let him who accuses God answer him..jpg
