Alphabet, the parent company of Google, has announced the opening of its new company, which will be active in cybersecurity.

The new company is called Chronicle, with its core business being linked to hacker detection and detection services. Chronicle customers are expected to beat companies seeking more effective protection against hacker attacks, TechCrunch reports.

The new unit is separated from X, also owned by Alphabet, and will now operate independently directly under the parent company's hat, just like Google.

The new CEO of Chronicle will be Stefan Gillet, who joins X, coming from Google Ventures. Previously, he held a leading role in Symantec.

For starters, Chronicle will offer two services: security platform and enterprise analytics, and VirusTotal - an online antivirus program that Google acquired in 2012.

In the words of the new CEO, the company will work to eliminate blind spots in security, which will help businesses build a clearer picture of the situation they are in.

What exactly will be the new platform to come to see? In the words of Gillette, it will be driven by the Alphabet infrastructure using machine self-learning to help businesses analyze security-related information.

Chronicle points out that in the future it will also offer other services in its cloud so that it grows synchronously with the needs of its customers. The company's services are currently under test by a number of Fortune 500 listed companies.
