Major ad networks have been taking drastic measures in recent months regarding advertising and promotion of cryptocurrencies and other related crypto programs. However, nothing is worse than Alphabet, aka Google, dictating that their AdSense and AdWords platforms will be banning all advertising related to cryptocurrency this month.
What does this mean? Owners of crypto-related sites will no longer be able to monetize their content utilizing the AdSense platform or any ad network who partners with AdSense.
We know how these website owners feel. While we sometimes write content about cryptocurrency and crypto markets, we've been blacklisted from the platform and was never paid nearly $1,500 in earned ad revenues from the platform.
As a matter of fact, we received a postcard in the mail this week regarding a class action lawsuit against Alphabet and Google AdSense/AdWords and signed up. A California corporation known as Free Range Content, Inc. filed the suit in 2014 and despite a legal roadblock in 2015, has returned to court with intent to come to a possible $11 million agreement with account holders.
I sympathize with those content creators and fellow crypto enthusiasts and would like to extend an opportunity. If AdSense/AdWords won't let you advertise on their platform, we'll be willing to work out a deal to promote your crypto-related products, services and content. We can even work out an ad rate that works for both of us. Feel free to reach out to me anytime: [email protected].
