Cryptocurrency advice needed

Hello folks, as I'm about to enter the game of cryptocurrency exchange, I thought it would save me some time and effort if somebody could give me some hints and tips. I'm usually the self-service type of a person, and I have already somewhat looked into this matter, but a little extra help wouldn't harm.

Could anybody suggest a reliable exchange service with relatively low fees that supports a wide variety of altcoins, including the latest ones?

Also do you have any wallets in mind that support multiple currencies and are compatible with both windows and android?
