There are many cheap and easy ways to reduce your electricity bill without needing permission or permits to install. Apartment Friendly for reducing your Mining Rig costs.
If you’re living in a city and you want to install some solar panels you will probably need to get permits depending how big the system you want is. Big systems are expensive and require properly trained technicians to ensure it works to its maximum potential and doesn’t damage yours or your neighbours houses.
Keep your fans running without adding to your continued expenses. A one time small investment could last 5+ years saving you hundreds or thousands over the years. If you live in China now these kits are even cheaper saving you more.
These small systems will help you reduce your bill, ever so slightly, and your carbon footprint a tad. They can be used anywhere in the world that get direct sunlight like in your living room or kitchen windows during the day when out at work. If you live in an apartment you won’t need to ask the landlord for permission because you don’t need to attach it to any structures. When you move out, take it with you easily.
I know I wrote a post which gave the impression I don’t like solar power but really I just wanted to point out that manufacturing them creates toxic waste and that they do take up a lot of space and can ruin the décor of your home if it’s covered in panels. I acknowledge it's my opinion when it comes to décor.
Anyways, here are couple different small all in one ready to use solar lighting kits that work the moment you take them out of the box and get them some sunlight. The more direct the light shines the more power it will create.
This kit is only $162US each and if you buy a few the price gets lower. It's portable so you can take with you when you change apartments or go camping easily.

I have a few solar power lighting kits now actually. I picked them up few years ago at a trade show in Hong Kong. I briefly used them to make sure they worked and put them back in the box since my apartment doesn’t get a lot direct sunlight now. I will use them when I move back to Canada some day.

I only point out these products but you can search the web for "solar power lighting kits" or if you know how much power you need for your miner or appliances you can search "1kw solar power kit" any watts actually and you will get lots of hits. I just wanted you to see how easy simple solar solutions can be. You can also search by how many kw hours you need like "1.8kh hour solar kits".

These kits probably won’t be enough to run your miner unless your miner is really small. I promise though it will make a small difference in savings from other sources not taking from the grid to power your lights or small appliances.
And you get the nice cozy security of being on the grid, this way you will have power even when the your neighbours don't.
great post . using renewable energy source ,might seem expensive at beginning but in the long run it increases savings plus has the added benefit of reduced pollution

I'd really like to get some solar. Maybe I will be able to buy it with Steem soon. I just saw that the UK was getting most of its power from renewables this week. That's encouraging news http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-40198567

now if you could post me something about running a solar powered miner i'd be really interested in that! :) - my only concern with solar tech is that it actually lasts the time to get the investment in it back otherwise it's just more landfill.

yeah, would be ideal. i guess i want something around a 4/6 gpu, i'm ripping out a broken heater unit so i have a space for a miner layout in there. i'm just gonna use that area to have my computer.
