Hey Steemians. I went to Bittrex to sell my Bitcoins because the price is high right now.
I discovered that I'd been given the new Bitcoin Cash tokens in my wallet (a result of the recent "hard fork"). Pretty cool. But how do I sell these new Bitcoin Cash tokens?
When I go to the sell screen the numbers don't make sense:
It tells me I can sell 0.00339222 of Bitcoin Cash (BCC) for 0.07290000 worth of Bitcoins (BTC).
It seems to be telling me I can sell my .003+ of BCC for 247.24 US dollars!
That would be good if true, but it's also telling me the total (I'm assuming unit price) is 0.00024803 (about 0.8$).
Can anyone help me out? What does this all mean? Can I sell my BTC for a ludicrous price or is Bittrex having issues?
No, you've just got the numbers the wrong way round - I find this with Bittrex too, I find the layout confusing.
The current price of 1 BCC is your $274 number and if you sold your 0.00339222BCC you would get 0.00024667BTC
I don't think this is worth selling at the moment - we just don't know where it's going and at the moment it's not worth the transaction fees for the amount you and I are holding

AHH! I see, that makes sense. I'm not good with figures at the best of times. Thanks for clearing that up!
