Head of the Ripple platform, Brad Garlinghouse, is confident that soon bitcoin as a technology will lose its relevance.

He stated this at the Code Conference 2018 in California.

"People are talking about using bitcoins when buying coffee. But the average bitcoin transaction can take up to 20 minutes, and the cost of the transaction will raise the price of your coffee in half. Once we can find out that bitcoin has become like Napster (file sharing, which was closed due to legal problems - ed.) In the digital assets market," - Garlinghouse said.

The head of Ripple believes that soon altcoins will not depend on bitcoin, and many digital currencies that do not solve real problems will disappear from the crypto industry.

Nevertheless, he paid tribute to the first cryptocurrency, calling it a "revolutionary" technology for the world economy.

Recall that, according to co-founder of Apple Steve Wozniak, the full potential of bitcoin will be revealed within ten years.

BTC dominance continues to drop daily! Good read! Upvoted, give me a follow back! Much love!

BTC dominance will vanish once there will be lots of ETH markets, XRP markets and so on. But for now, you can be sure only in one thing - any coin or token can be exchanged on BTC. That's the only reason of dominance. Otherwise, BTC is too outdated and slow, and expensive to use, comparing to others.
