Today's AM Scribbles is extra scribble-y in the form of angular geometric shapes painted in shades of blue and purple. One of my favorite people to follow on Steemit, @gotmeens, refers to the warming-up process as "getting the rust out".
What an accurate description!
Blue purple rust in all its glory
The first lines were pencil, but I soon ditched the pencil for marker. Forced to commit.
Interesting texture in the center, like part of a sketchy chain-link fence

Love the abstract lines and colors, it has an overall balance, like the lines give the same vibe as the coloring, great piece, really eye catching.

There are so many forms of expressing art. What/who made you want to get into illustration? Or are there any other forms you use to express your thoughts? Or did you just grew into it from early on?
Thank you as always for your comment! Yes, I was feeling bold this morning, both with the lines and the vivid colors. With your eye for color and visual impact, I understand why you like this one.

Some of my earliest memories are of me drawing or coloring. When I was a little older, I read Calvin and Hobbes and Garfield comic books over and over again. I've always loved cartoons and drawing. Regarding self-expression, I really enjoy making all kinds of things and I am excited to learn about more kinds of crafts. Yet these days I find drawing to be the most sensible means of creative expression given my current station in life. On a side note, I also have a really out-going side that rarely escapes to see the light of day! Usually I'm pretty quiet and reserved.
Awesome, it really is a way of life for you then, explains the vision and the talent, and the joy in creating it! 😊 I can relate in a certain way, therefore understand your position as described here, espicially being more inspired these days to express more than ''just'' create something for the looks. That's why I wanted to ask you this question, curious to your state of mind behind the visuals.
I've always been really introvert, quiet and to myself a lot. So I always wanted to do something bigger than myself, such as doing murals or projects etc. I have been drawing my whole life aswell, so I guess that's just something that was a part of me all along. I never draw with intention, unless people request certain subjects. My doodles are always on the spot, off the dome. Music just became a way for me to use my voice, which is something that I've never done like that. It's new for me, but helps me to crawl out of my shell. So much more works are in the making, it's just that I make big projects, to try and make an impact. Just trying to find my little nitch 😊
Your doodles are so geometrical!
The spikes on the bottom make me think of an old-school side-scrolling video game. Watch where you jump!
