ROUGH GREEN SNAKE PHOTO SHOOT

in amazing •  6 years ago

Another amazing snake on the land!!

After Pinkie-Pepper found that amazing softshell turtle, now Monster Truck found this incredible snake!

While doing some chores earlier today, I heard my boy calling me over. He's allowed to look at snakes on his own, but he can't touch or catch them without permission.

Peeking over a bin, was a beautiful little Rough Green Snake. Doesn't it look amazing? These snakes are so cool! We are working on a video for it now, but wanted to share these photos as a teaser first. Also, the @little-peppers will be sharing some other photos later tonight. I even got a few photos of it acting tough with its mouth open, but they aren't the most "focused" shots. I hope that you still like them.

A VERY COOL SNAKE!

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Until next time…

This little green guy is really cute. I love the way you were able o get a close up of those neatly arranged scales.

Excellent idea @papa-pepper! Some green snakes are pretty venomous...

It's just the best way around here!

Wonderful photography, I would love to find one of these someday. That's remarkable that he posed above the bin long enough to snap that photo!

It was peeking over that bin for about five minutes! Wait until you see the video. Should be out tomorrow!

lo felicito hay que tener valor para agarrar una serpiente

Muchas gracias, disfrutamos mejor a los no venenos.

Cool shots with the mouth opened.

Yeah, they happened so quick, it was hard to focus. I didn't even realize that one of the proof photo options had an open mouth. Obviously, I chose that one.

Now I know how these Green Snakes do CAMO in the Grass. Just a Beautiful Reptile and Thanks for the Awesome Pictures @papa-pepper........Great Find Monster Truck and can't wait to see @little-peppers too...........

What a totally cool snake! What a snake wonderland where you live!! Sweet find Monster-Truck 💚💚💚

This image is so scary

Beautiful, but scary?

1 of my employers actually called my South African passport 'the green mamba'. 😅
Yeah beautiful but scary..

It looks very beautiful, though I'm still scared of it.

The snake seems it was smiling for a selfie at your last photo lol.

Smiling? It wanted to BITE ME in the face!

I thought as much, still looks like a smiling snake though..

Smiles

That is a pretty snake and harmless as can be. Thanks for sharing papa. And good looking boy you have there :)

Yup! He's a good one, and that is a great snake!

The first photo seemed as its a huge one but the snake came out to be a tiny one, such tiny snake could be even harder to tackle, isn't it?

"Green snake in the green grass" that's what my country would say 😂.
I don't really like snakes that much Sha but how's it, like how did you managed to have an amazing moment with it, without it been a jerk?

Yeah, we have these guys around here as well, but aside from a couple of babies, the only time I've seen them is dead, after they've turned blue.

I was really excited when I found the first one, because when dead they are the exact shade of blue as my mystery blue snake that I saw a couple of times in Florida, but no; those snakes were blue while still alive and active.

So I still don't know who those snakes were, and none of the experts I've consulted could tell me either. But I saw three of them over the 25+ years I lived there, all in the Tampa Bay area.
