Hi everyone's.... How are you to day ?
Post connection 1...
As was discussed at length in a previous post that this brown beetle is a species of beetle that likes plants and wood, whether the wood is wet or dry.
Nevertheless it is very often found in every green leaves, its presence in each green plant has not been categorized as a pest for plants because of its very little presence.
In a frugal way I often see them attacking spice-flavored softwoods such as the scent of orange belly or the aroma of cloves. Apart from eating the leaves that smelled of spice beetles usually damage the outer layer of soft wood, he will always tear the top layer of wood by biting it. However, it is also very rare to bite at the core of the wood even though it is dry.
They rarely attack the process of separating plants, where the package of wood that has been moved is infected by a wood-cutting beetle, and again when there is a wood-scraping beetle, of course he will avoid it.
Minimum size
The chocolate beetle contained in this post is a chocolate beetle that often plays on every wild plant that grows in abandoned locations even though it is sometimes seen on plants cultivated by farmers, but its presence is very few, in general these chocolate beetles are sized at 1 thumb of an adult hand normal and sometimes encountered as big as a horn beetle but very rarely. This brown beetle is about 3 inches long while 0.5 inches wide.
Then for men and women of course the size is different, for men the size of men is greater when compared to women. If the male has a size of 3 inches, then the female must have a length of 2 inches.
How to survive
Every creature on this earth certainly has a procedure for sustaining their life in multiplying its population if they understand how to adapt to their own environment then this group of animals will always last forever.
However, these chocolate beetles have a few tricks or how they maintain their lives. One of their tricks when meeting with predatory animals they will be silent by not moving for several minutes sometimes they are able to survive for almost an hour.
This is done so that the predator considers them dead. Even in the eyes of the writer himself, has seen a bird turning its body, but the beetle has not yet moved from its disguise so that the bird thought it was dead. So in the end the bird flies while the brown beetle is not eaten by the bird.
Rough population calculation
Regarding the size of the population, of course they are classified into small numbers when compared with other beetle species, this figure is even if measured in several regions of Indonesia, while in other countries I personally do not know.
It says little because of their presence in every plant where they live, as well as their presence in the location of dry wood is also very little. In one tree plants rarely find them more than 5 or 7, usually 2 or 3 are found, and even that is very difficult. So based on this it is concluded that their population is very small when compared with other beetles.
