It has been now nearly four weeks since i arrived on Koh Samui island from leaving the big city of Bangkok and i have no regrets been stuck on this paradise island for the past four weeks. A couple of weeks ago they announced that no one could leave the island nor could anyone come to the island because of border closures which was a good thing , i think they should have done this earlier but it is what it is.
In the time i have been here i have only always seen a handful of people on the beach while sitting on my balcony writing up a post or on my many walks around the island.
I was having a lot of time to myself but also enabling myself to think a lot while walking around many parts of this island seeing all these resorts shut down no tourist on the beaches it was very sad to see how are these people coping and is it going to come back to the way it was very depressing times for many people i would say it is going to take time to recover unfortunately like in many other parts of the world.
I received a email from my company today asking me to return back to Bangkok on Monday to commence work , i would say i am one of the lucky ones to still have a job to go back to and for that i am grateful for , i honestly didn't know what my future with the company was going to be but this was great news to me.
They said i could work from home and would only need to attend the office maybe a couple of hours a day if not every second day so , i was very happy on those conditions. It has made me appreciate life even more this pandemic and done me good i am about 5 kg lighter with all the walks and jogging i did been on this beautiful paradise island.
So i will enjoy a few more walks and sunsets before returning to the big smoke. You all stay safe and healthy , take care yourselves and stay strong 😊 💪 😊
