Amazon will provide Prime members with exclusive access to the sale 24 hours ahead of its official launch.
In anticipation of its flagship Great Indian Festival starting this Friday, e-commerce giant Amazon has announced an increase in standard commission rates for over 50,000 content creators involved in its influencer program. The revamped commission structure features an increase of 1.5 to 2 times across more than 20 sub-categories, including fashion, beauty, personal care appliances, home, kitchen, toys, and books, specifically targeting active creators collaborating with Amazon. Notably, certain categories will see more significant hikes than others.
For instance, commissions for key categories such as apparel, accessories, and beauty and personal care appliances have been increased by up to 12%. Meanwhile, commissions for home, kitchen, lawn and garden, furniture, and sports categories have been raised by up to 10%, and for toys and books, the increase is up to 9%. Additionally, creators will have access to target-linked incentives of up to 10-15% of the revenue they generate, along with product budgets of up to ₹5,000 to facilitate the purchase and review of products.
“This allows creators to maximise their earnings during the peak shopping season and take advantage of the heightened consumer demand during AGIF,” the company stated. As part of the Amazon Live program, hundreds of creators are set to conduct over 1,500 live streams across various categories for the upcoming sale.
Additionally, Amazon will provide its Prime members with early access to the sale, allowing them to shop 24 hours before the official launch. In competition, Flipkart is gearing up for its annual Big Billion Days sale on Friday, along with other platforms like Meesho and Myntra.
