This is my entry for the post of Steem-Ambassordor. I learnt of this opportunity, which seeks to sanitize the use of #promo-steem tag by getting rid of numerous questionable #promo-steem tagged posts to ensure that only deserving posts are curated, from @anarcotech post. And feels that I am qualified to give it a shot based on my numerous contributions to the growth of steem ecosystem through my personal activities and those of the community @euronation, which I have the privilege of convening and leading.

Where I am coming from

Before I will delve into my numerous achievements and how I have been contributing to the growth of this platform, I think Steemit community and those to whom this application is being addressed, would certainly want to know my academic background and my journey into crypto-world — steemit.com precisely.

By name, I am Mr Aneke Chukwuka, an indigene of Ideato-north Local Government Area of Imo State of Nigeria. I hold a BTech degree in Industrial Microbiology obtained from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State and a Diploma in Management Studies from Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Lagos.

After my graduation, I worked briefly with Ricol Pharmaceutical Company Ltd in the capacity of Assistant Analyst in Quality Control Department. I am someone who like to enjoy my freedom, giving my best to what I love doing, and earning enough to support community service. And since my salary is too meagre to fit into my goals, I took a bold step and resigned my position to establish a successful Laundry and Dry cleaning business — Cleantech Laundry Services.

How I discovered steemit

It is on record that years 2015, 2016 and partly 2017 were years of gargantuan proliferation of ponzi schemes in Nigeria. To effectively conceal the identity of the proprietors of these fraudulent schemes, a lot of them adopted bitcoin as the compulsory medium of payment. And due to highly battered economic situation, over 85% of Nigerians invested heavily into the various ponzi schemes. I was no exception as I invested over $5000. Sadly, the whole schemes crashed months later with no traces to the whereabouts of the criminals.

I tinkered with bitcoin while participating in various ponzi schemes. My knowledge of bitcoin was a gateway to my awareness of the verse opportunities in cryptocurrency world. I am always drawn to research; seeking meanings in areas I have little competency in terms of knowledge. This informed my decision to embark on a search for worthy cryptocurrencies to invest in as I can't possibly invest in all cryptocurrencies.

While researching on good cryptos to invest in, I discovered steemit.

This is the fact of my foray into Steemit program. And I never regretted it one bit.

My contributions to the development of Steemit program and why I deserve to be considered for Steem Ambassador Position

I will make it brief here. But I will include links to confirm my various claims. Among my contributions to the growth of Steemit social capital program includes:

Founding of @euronation Steemians community

@euronation community is a household name within the broader Nigeria community. I am someone with deep belief in shared opportunities. Wherever I find opportunities, I like to quickly reach out to people to be parkers. Hence, I didn't start @euronation community because others are doing so. I convened @euronation community at a time I didn't know what projects mean within the context of Steemit program. It was purely a decision made out of passion for a program I have come to love. And because, I have limited finances having being financially wrecked by ponzi schemes, whatsaap was adopted for recruitment and training purposes. The result of my first ever webinar in which I recruited 67 foundational members of @euronation was reported here

Having achieved this feat, I went on to pick eight most amazing members (@smyle, @sweetestglo-eu, @drigweeu, @dray91eu, @bob-elr, @edith4angelseu, @jeaniepearl, and @adoore-eu) and teamed up with them to officially launch #Euronation Steemians community with official account @euronation, and active onboarding of new members is one of our primary objectives. In pursuit of the cardinal objectives of @euronation, we have been able to grow our membership base to 230 members that are active on Telegram. And majority of this people are members we groom from genesis, and not members from other communities.

Massive online promotion with concrete evidences of over 1000 accounts created within the interim

I don't believe in idleness when there is no sponsors to derive dreams. Accepted we don't have sponsors yet but that's not the reason not to spread the news of Steemit. This informed our decision under my leadership to launch whatsaap targeted campaigns which led to creation of over 1000 new accounts. Participation in offline promotional activities and @euronation programs timetable for the year

I had participated in several offline promotional activities where I delivered speeches in various aspects of Steemit program. And this is basically intended to inspire new and struggling Steemians. This includes launching of @stach 2 in Uyo and Enugu Meetup which I co-sponsored alongside @ejemai, @tojukaka and @NairaDaddy.

@euronation will be sponsoring two major meetups: one will be held in Imo state in March, 2018 while the other will be held in Lagos in April, 2018, and one major national conference, which will be announced after the two meetups must have held. All these are intended to onboard more people into the platform.

Sponsorship of major meetup and conferences

The leadership of #Euronation believe that any steemit based conferences/meetups with clear goals of bringing value to steem ecosystem, should and must be sponsored. Under my leadership, we contribute whatever we have for the success of such events. So events do not have to be engineered by #Euronation community to receive our support. In the light of this, we supported organizers of Steemit In Nigeria (S.I.N) Conference last year with 86SBD, while 50SBD was also transferred to @redfishpillar which happened to be one of the official sponsors of the conference. The S.I.N is a brainchild of @ehiboss.

contribution to the growth of utopian-io

My total allegiance is to the whole steem ecosystem. I don't only engage in activities to promote the blogging side of Steem blockchain, I support anything that has to do with the growth of steem cryptocurrency. One of those programs that are built on steem blockchain is utopian.io. I have been championing lots of activities to promote utopian.io so that more Steemians can be part of it. *This includes holding webinar for various communities such as Uyo Steemit Community being run by @samstickkz, and @euronation community severally.

The result of this is @euronation community not only make highest open source contributions but also contributes highest number of utopian.io moderators ever to come from any one community. Show Us Your Witnesses Weekly Contest

As an ardent believer in the future of steem blockchain, I realized early enough that there cannot be a burgeoning steem ecosystem without active and committed witnesses. And according to series of reports by @lukestokes, the percentage of people who are currently supporting at least one witness is nothing to write home about when compared to the number of active accounts. For this reason, I embarked on steps to help encourage witness voting engagement within the community. This I did through....

• Authoring a detailed article on the imperative of supporting witnesses. And there was uproarious responses within the broader Nigeria community most who don't even know what it is meant to support a witness. Click here to access the said article.

• Hosting a weekly contest known as Show Us Your Witnesses Weekly Contest during which a total of 30 steem has been given out to various winners while 371 witness votes had been delivered via this scheme. Detail of this can be found here

There are many other evidences of my contributions to the development of steem ecosystem which I cannot possibly continue to list here, else we will be hooked here forever. However, given the above compelling reasons, I trust I am one of the right candidates to be honored with prestigious Steem Ambassador appointment.
