Here's a short post I wrote in my developing blog Ambitious Seller about Ambition and its effect on motivation and success.
“Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.”
– Salvador Dali
It’s no surprise that AMBITION, as this site’s name suggests, is one of the most important aspect of success.
Ambition is “an earnest desire for some type of achievement or distinction”.
Meaning that you cannot be successful and achieve your goals unless you truly DESIRE them. You have to have passion towards what you do in your everyday, in order for it to really turn into something big.
Sure, you can absolutely “get along” doing many things you don’t really care about. But those things will never amount to anything meaningful, since meaning and desire usually go hand in hand.
That’s why I believe that no matter what, how or when you do whatever it is you do, it has to come with some sort of inner purpose. Your limits fade away when you have a target and a goal in mind.
When you pretend to have a goal or a destination you’re not truly excited about it will eventually become impossible to get to.
You can’t give up on that principle under no circumstances. You have to insist on finding that which inspires you. If you wake up and you’re not excited, you’ve got a problem.
Sure you can have bad days. That’s not what I mean.
If you find something you’re determined to achieve and you’re passionate about, you’ll overcome the obstacles.
Ambition is a part of this site’s name for a reason.
I think that’s the base and the core of every business. It’s the foundation upon we build great and marvelous adventures.
For that reason alone, choose your path wisely.
Make sure it switches on your inner fire.
Because without a motor, you’re going nowhere.
Be Ambitious, it’s the only way to go up.
