Is the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core a good enough cpu for gaming and streaming now and the coming future?

I would like to upgrade from my Ryzen 5 1400 4 core but I wonder if I should fork up some more money for a ryzen 9 12 core or a higher core ryzen 7 to stream and play the newest games.

Gpu is nvidia GeForce gtx 1050 ti

I’m good with just 30 fps and 720-1080p
