Peace fellow Steemians. Today I would like to bring a subject up and get some feedback from the community.
The question of the day is, Did the 13th Amendment really abolish Slavery. Now this is not hard to answer, seeing as it plainly states within the 1st line of the 1st section of the 13th Amendment "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, EXCEPT as a punishment for crime", so if one is able to comprehend that which they read outside of what they've been told, taught, indoctrinated with in school, they can easily see that it is far from abolished or dead in the eyes of the constitution.

What was once used as a way to obtain free labor from the aboriginal prisoners of war as well as the newly transported Africans at the time, is now being applied to every American citizen regardless of race, color , or creed, though a caste system of sorts is still used within the judicial system, to discriminate between the now crayon color labeled slaves. What we fail to realize is that what we call "race" when filling out certain legal documents which have options such as White, Black, Hispanic etc. These are nothing more than legal statuses within the verbiage of legalese, a comprehension of words defined differently in a legal aspect than that of the average Webster's Dictionary or what some may deem "Perfect English".

When certain terms are looked up from perception to person to people, you will see there is a homonymis relationship between them, where they are spelled the same as the common definition of the words as you know it, and then their are legal definitions that are as far from the definition as you commonly know it to be. Study the definitions of words in such legal books as Bouviers and Blacks Law Dictionaries as compared to the definitions and you'll see in the average dictionary used within todays educational system.

Not deflecting too far from the original subject at hand, when we look at the amount of slave labor that is done by those imprisoned within the U.S. Justice System, it is not hard to see the underline commercial advantages of having the masses working for pennies on the dollar. Also notable, according to CFR Title 27 Chapter 1 Subchapter F Part 72 Subpart B Section 72.11 " All Crimes Are Commercial", a subject we will be going through in future post.
