One thing that has stuck out to me over the last year is this odd phenomenon that, the privileged white kids in the West, who don't seem to like western civilization, have been looking at the conflict in the Middle East through a particularly American lens.
I'm looking at the conflict in the Middle East through an American lens; but, I'm not denying it.
The only way that you see a conflict between the Jews and Arabs in Israel and the Muslim nations surrounding Israel as anything resembling oppressed vs. oppressors, or majority vs. oppressed minority, with the Israelis being the oppressive majority, is if you aren't aware that there's a world outside of the Diamond district in New York.
This is one of the few countries in the world in which Jews are a larger minority than Muslims.
Worldwide, there are a hundred Muslims to each Jew. Israel is sitting on a rock with no natural resources while Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar, and so on are sitting on heaps of oil wealth.
The only explanation that I have for why we have hoards of rich white kids shouting, "From the river to the sea!" is that they have a myopic view of the world, that only comes from their observations, without bothering to look at the big picture.
