Me: I'm not gonna argue with people who basically have said they're not voting
Also me: lobs grenade
It ain't that I'm ignorant of why people don't want to vote for Harris given Gaza or given immigration policy.
It is just I'm deeply skeptical of like arguments that voting for the lady who thinks Wi-Fi causes cancer or the dude who wants to abolish the Department of Education somehow influences the Democratic Party in the way people think.
Honestly, I have more respect for the dude who is writing in his policy red lines on his ballot.
And I'm deeply skeptical of arguments that basically view all of this in isolation. You'd make more sense to me if Trump was some mensch on human rights and Harris wasn't. How else am I supposed to view an election but on the actual substantive policies between the two major candidates and the effects therein?
Candidates at the end of the day have to persuade people to vote for them. It is their fault if they don't and no one else's.
But I think voters also should be informed and sober in their voting decisions.
And my gods, everyone learn about your down ballot races. So much happens due to some local sheriff that won by 4 votes.
