Helloooooo!
I decided not to compete in the UNAA Regional competition in Minneapolis this weekend. Work had wanted to me visit them this month, so I had picked next week so I could swing by Minneapolis on the way home... the competition is on a Sunday which isn't ideal... but then adults don't compete until after 4pm (assuming everything runs on time which is rare) and everyone gets two course runs... all of which means I wouldn't leave until 8pm or 9pm... and then fly for 5 hours and then start work at 5:30am. Also, airlines have this awesome thing where they charge $200 for a flight before lunch and then $500 for the exact same flight after lunch...
Sooooo.... for reasons of logistics (and that I can't make it to the finals anyway) I'm not going to worry about it, instead I'll spend as little time in the Midwest as I can get away with.

Instead I'll spend the comp money saved on building a garden bed on the weekend. Whooo, adulting plus!
As well as my fitbit yesterday, I also got some trail running shoes. I've barely worn anything but bare feet and Vivobarefeet Motus 2 ever since I moved to America, so it was weird wearing something with a sole... I went on my 30 minute run today and could definitely feel my feet struggling with all the new support.

I've got the shoes to protect my feet during my Spartan Sprint in August... unfortunately my soleless parkour shoes aren't great in mud, on rocks, barbed wire or in the water... and since they're discontinued I need to protect and hoard these guys for as long as I can... meaning I need to get used to going on long runs with these trail runners.

I ran at lunchtime and after work I did some hill sprints. Still painful, still brutal, my body still wants to eject my lungs through my mouth.
I smashed out some slacklining, and then instead of going to Ninja Class (my partner was too late getting back #countrylyfe #onecarlyfe) I tackled my own Ninja Shed obstacle course instead. Goddamn it is hard. I care barely do anything... I'm going to have to spend way more time on this guy if I'm going to set up my own summer competition.
How cute are my guys?
More time being amazing. Less time being less amazing.
This is what I need to focus on.
