ETIMOLOGÍA DE AMOR

La palabra amor proviene del latín amor, amōris. Se emparenta, de este modo, con el verbo latino amāre, del que derivará nuestro verbo amar.

La más remota raíz de la palabra amor procede del indoeuropeo am-, que significa ‘madre’, y que también vendría a ser la raíz de palabras como amigo o amistad.

Una falsa teoria de la etimología de la palabra AMOR es que está compuesta por “a” “sin” y “mor” es una contracción de la palabra “mortem” que significa “muerte”, lo que nos da a entender que el amor es eternidad.

Puede ser falsa esta teoría, sin embargo, quiero creer en esta etimología, porque cuando sientes amor eso que amas no muere jamás, no existe "hasta que la muerte nos separe" porque simplemente se vuelve eterno.
