The red carpet serves up major style inspo. And while celebs often rock high-priced ensembles (that are more fantasy than reality) nothing makes us happier than when a star shows up wearing something we can actually afford. Remember Gal Gadot’s $50 gold Aldo sandals? A superhero indeed.
The latest A-lister to sport a thrifty find is Amy Adams. The “Nocturnal Animals” actress — who has recently favored gowns from favorite designer and director, Tom Ford — showed up at the Giffoni Film Festival in an off-the-rack Vince Camuto dress, which she paired with barely-there stiletto sandals and dainty earrings.
Her blue ombré floral print fit-and-flare frock (originally priced at $148), was recently marked down to just $50 at Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale. Not surprisingly, this budget-conscious beauty is sold out everywhere.
Retailers like Amazon and 6PM still have a couple of similar styles — different silhouette, same print — left in stock, but only a few sizes remain and we can’t imagine they’ll be available for much longer.
