One year ago I wrote about the events that lead to my un-enslavement. I explained how I started out life understanding basic moral concepts that most people still to this day would support, and how those ideas were forced out of me by the "government school system" and all the flag waivers surrounding my life.
However, the problem is... most people have a huge blind spot... a major flaw.. that an exemption to natural morality all falters at the feet of a perceived authority, "government".

"Every one of you got the message of liberty in kindergarten. You don't hit, you don't steal, and then in church you might have learned you don't kill.
When you did, it wasn't... don't steal unless you're an IRS agent. It wasn't don't hit... unless you have a badge and gun.
It wasn't thou shalt not kill... unless your wearing a uniform and Barrack Obama tells you to go kill people. Those were moral absolutes and we have carved out this exception for government (this little area of moral exception) where we have instituted all of the worst of human nature." -Adam Kokesh

At the time of writing "my story" I really didn't know why I was writing it. Honestly, I couldn't think of a single person that would even care to read it. So it came as a huge surprise to me that it was re-published by Bill Buppert on his website zerogov.com.
It felt wonderful being able share the journey that lead to so many massive changes in my personal philosophy with other people that seemed to really understand my transformation.
Since last August I have had an even bigger change. I was of the belief that the philosophical change in my own head was most beneficial to me.
I was wrong.
This massive re-calibration of my beliefs has opened the door for my children.
They'll be able to skip the journey I undertook, trying to rationalize irrational government and school propaganda.
It took a long time to realize it can't be done and freedom was right in front of me the whole time if I choose to see it.
Most people never come back to a philosophy of natural morality after being forced into the world of statism. My children will grow up in a household where both of their parents have a full understanding of the importance of sticking to principals regardless of what the rest of the world advocates.
I didn't exactly have this experience growing up. My parents preached principals at home while also "voting for the lesser evil" and never standing up for their morality but rather to go the easy road and make excuses for the betrayal in their beliefs. They claimed to be Christian, but when the God called "government" told them what to do, they listened and obeyed.
I have recently starting talking with my parents about their abandonment from their principles. They have always been open to any conversation which makes things a little bit easier.
In one instance while on a road trip with my dad. I started showing him a few videos on Youtube and discussing them as they played. One of the videos I showed him was "The Jones Plantation" by @larkenrose. After it was over he said "I have thought about those sorts of things over the years but never really put it all together".
If you are still in the "voting" camp I suggest watching it. It will be a real eye opener for you.
I have made some excellent traction with my mom as well. To have my parents understand and implement the Non-Aggression Principle in their own lives will massively improve the future for my children as well as for themselves. It is important for my children to grow up with as many people advocating for peace and voluntarism as they can.
I have enjoyed watching the process of other people I know starting to restore the principles in their own lives as well. We often talk now about how amazing it is that we ever supported the ideas that we did. The lies and false hopes of patriotism, nationalism and order following that were pumped into us by the 'government school system" and the "government controlled media and television".
I have also noticed that this idea... Freedom, Liberty, LeaveMeAloneism, whatever you wanna call it, is so addicting that once it grabs hold of people they will do all that is possible to show other people that this..this freedom..voluntarism instead of coercion...these ideas are a better way for all of us.
I have great hope for future generations. I have seen a major shift in people's ideology happen on such a mass scale in just the last year that it won't be to long now that the idea of true freedom will captivate the entirety of mankind and stomp out the brutal, dangerous disease that is statism.
I love this post. This is how we shift the paradigm, with conscious efforts and by teaching the young correctly. I grew up around all the flag wavers as well, and even served time in the military, but all of it just served to lead me to anarchy, voluntaryism, leavemealoneism, etc, with a dash of humanity and lot of community.
