Looked at from a purely practical perspective, this boils down to "you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar" -- a lesson that I, too, am struggling to internalize, Larken. Our concerns are real and dire; it's no surprise they evoke strong emotions in us. It seems that others' acceptance of one's "red pills" corresponds directly to one's level of mastery over those emotions.
