Support the troops?

I was thinking about this motto I have heard many times that you can be against war but need to support the troops. It made me wonder why should I support the troops if I am against the wars? Sometimes you will get the statement that they are defending your freedom so you need to support them and I wonder what freedoms are they defending?

Well they not protecting our freedoms regardless of what you have been told. If they were protecting our freedom they would not be in the middle east slaughtering people that would never have an impact on our lives. Since 9/11 the only organization taking away our freedom has been the US government with things like The Patriot Act. I wondered how this was possible at first but I know as I went through it I seen it's state indoctrination.

Society, schools and media all push state propaganda to indoctrinate the population. Society is effected by the other two more than anything but it's also the most powerful. Children are indoctrinated from the beginning usually by parents that went through it. The schools teach that the state is the only way and that being a soldier is brave and honorable. Schools often bring in recruiters to convince young minds that if they join they'll be apart of something bigger and better. Well it is bigger the state is huge. Finally the media regardless if you think Hollywood is nothing but liberals there is still state propaganda. War movies are huge sellers and instill the sense of brave heroes defending the common mans freedom.

There is also hero worship of troops look no farther than the sadist killer Chris Kyle and his book that was turned into a movie. He was no hero but a serial killer that enjoyed killing and created a book to relived his actions. His book is also full with lies and half truths something many psychopaths engage in. Unfortunately so many fall for this type of propaganda and it continues the process of indoctrination.

Unfortunately for many they get indoctrinated and can never free themselves. Many will become combat veterans and the state that used them as a pawn will leave to die alone on the streets. They are a part of the Military Industrial Complex nothing more than bodies used and discarded.

Now should we "support the troops?" No, overall they volunteer for this knowing they may have to kill people and maybe actually join because they want to. Currently they know prior to signing up that they will be involved in a pointless war and they will murder men, women and children that are no threat to freedom. It doesn't matter left or right they both commit mass murder around the globe claiming it's for freedom. There is no reason to support people who sign up to participate in mass murder. If they see their faults later and realize the evil they committed and work to stop further death they then deserve support.
