Time to talk about - "Our Tube" - The decentralization of YouTube

The only thing I can see wrong with a service like this is that you can host any kind of content you want on it. When you look at Steemit, we can't host videos or pictures on-site. This helps control the size of the blockchain itself, but it also means Steemit the website is not liable for child porn, snuff videos and things like that hosted on their blockchain. I have a feeling a decentralized YouTube would feel less like YouTube and more like the Silk Road...except without the rules that SR followed.

Lol. You really have no idea what you on about do you ?

So if there was a place people could post child porn and snuff films online, you'd feel OK posting your game reviews and live DJ sets to it? I know what I'm on about and I know that the content on a website like YouTube influences who posts to it.

Why do you keep going on about cp ? Its a bit odd. Snuff films ?? Lol . all this was available long before the internet. Anything there you can find on the vanilla web. Nothing new. People make up stories about the darkweb so idiots believe it and they male a crap ton of money in advertising revenues. There is just as much wierd stuff online without going to onion links. Im sure there are websites on the darknet thst have sick stuff on them, but these are private and only a few people use it. Its nothing new. Its just more secure on the darknet thats all. They wouldnt put download links and stuff like that they would upload it to one another through emails and term sensitive uploads. This is extreme though but im sure that is now these people do these things. All im saying is the darkwen isnt this super dark bad place full of secrets and wonderous magic of acient times.

Because it will end up on the decentralized YT and no one can take it down. The videos will always be there, forever. Yeah you can find that stuff on the regular internet now, but it can be taken down. You can eliminate each source of that kind of content, or avoid it. People looking up nefarious videos do so on different websites than people trying to listen to new music or watch PewDiePie. If people can just upload it to a YouTube-like service without any type of repercussion, that service will end up with a lot of this content, and regular users will get scared away. The shit taints the chocolate bar. That is my point.
