The Secret To Change: Words

in anarchy •  8 years ago

Change isn't complicated. In fact, when change happens, we either saw it coming and never needed to provide it any assistance or we sit and wonder how it ever snuck up. But as uncomplicated as the very action and initial moment of change can be, the results can have a significant impact on our views of the world, our emotions, our character, and all the little things in between that make us who we are; resultants of change can run the spectrum of our psyche and likewise, our psyche can run through a spectrum of change set into place by said resultants. Change is a subtle gambit that positions us for better or for worse. The intentions we set out with usually determine determine the course.

So what kind of change am I talking about and how on earth do words bring it about?

I'm speaking about the kind of change that is slab cracking, mind expanding, paradigm shattering, and wholly transformative. I'm referring to foundational change. Ya know, that kind of change that makes you shift in your seat once your aware of its purpose and impact and you realize you ain't in Kansas anymore. Foundations are meant to be sturdy and the only way to reinforce a faulty philosophical one is through ideas and ideas are expressed using words. Thus, words are the catalyst for change. Pretty simple, right? I wish sometimes it was. Personally, I've had moments when someone I was talking to asked, "Well how do we this or that? And what are YOU doing to fix it?" To that I say, "I'm talking about it!"

Words used in creating change bring a whole new meaning to 'word up'

Word up - a."I confirm what you said is true, my good brother" b."I've just been elevated by your words, my man"

Word?

The event of mere words leading to foundational change is an event that takes our most closely held beliefs, unravels them, and rebuilds using our newfound ideas that resonate more clearly and truly with ourselves and the world around us. The stronger, clearer, and truer our resonance, the more those around us will begin to resonate at the same frequency. It's like the inductive effect that a wire with current running through it has. It will induce a voltage in the wire sitting parallel to it if the induction is strong enough. Or it's a lot like situating two tuning forks next to each other, hitting one, and watching the other resonate with the vibrational frequency of the one hit. The first step in the direction of this change is having conversations; talking. It's wordage, bro!

Power the incandescence

You don't have to be the best at talking for people to listen. God knows I'm not. All is required is the courage to speak up, even if it's a one liner and then a disappearing act. People don't need to hear a thesis or need any definitive proof on the spot in order that they'll think about or look into your point of view.        - Natural curiosity will lead a person toward change if what you say frays him/her or if they've never heard such things. Words surpass violence in its usefulness because words and the ideas they conjure can't be killed. So keep talking! Word'em up!
