I have TRIED to leave an opening for fixing our issues within the confines of the tyrant's laws. Not put any faith in that route, but remain open to it. If Adam could have brought "self governance" into the Presidential debates, that would be something worth the fight - or so I thought when I agreed.
With Ron Paul, I honestly thought we might elect him, I did not know about "media blackouts" and such. After it was over, I was never 100% sure he was not controlled opposition, and I suspect he WAS a LIHOP at best. At the RNC - we are now in this up to our eyeballs - AT the RNC, Ron's campaign manager stabbed me in the back. Personally. Took time out of his busy day to screw me over(and all of Ron's supporters indirectly.) Still, when he ran again, TRYING to remain open to fixing it from where we are, I stepped up again. Not at first. Form the first few months I sat back and said "Nope. Fool me twice..." In the end, I capitulated. I did not get in as deep, so THIS time when Ron's campaign manager screwed everybody over at least I was not the one personally receiving the screw. I was DONE. Then Jack Yantis got shot. People sought me out, asked me to help, from the family. They wanted a new Sheriff. I did too. We actually found an awesome candidate. My brain dead "local boy loyal" neighbors (who are lovely people in SO many ways, just not at the ballot box) re-elected the man who covered up the murder of an innocent rancher.
I was DONE.
Then a friend here in town who helped me with the Sheriff's race asked me to help with Adam. I was in the middle of waiting for everything to collapse, so it seemed like a reasonable way to pass the time. A few limitations this time: We were NOT going into debt. Not one dime. I was NOT turning a blind eye to powermongering camapign staff. Jesus himself would have a campaign sunk these days, unless he had NO STAFF AT ALL. The ONLY people who WANT to play politics are people who crave power!
