The Matrix's Monopoly on Violence

in anarchy •  7 years ago

'You have to understand. Most people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured and so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will fight to protect it.'

I know many reading this are so deep in the matrix they say its ok to kill those who disagree with their ideas...

But for those who aren't, I write this as both an encouragement and as a warning.

A warning because if you want freedom, you will always have those who will kill you or throw you in a cage because they disagree with your choices...

Even if your choices don't affect them.

But I write also as an inspiration as more people are escaping the matrix and waking up to the evil it serves.

Molly (the anarchist pictured below) was a living, breathing symbol of the NAP (Non-Aggression Principal).

She would never hurt a fly, left you alone unless you greeted her first, and was full of affection for anyone who showed her friendship.

I remember her checking out baby turtles and jumping back when they approached her...

And crying with excitement when people petted her or fed her a good meal.

She was timid meeting other dogs and people. But played happily when she saw they didn't pose a threat.

She was fiercely loyal and would fight for her friends.

However, because someone with perceived authority thought they "knew what was best," and had a monopoly on violence, she's had her short life ripped out from under her.

Since, in the matrix, we've been taught lying is ok if it supports your beliefs of what's "best", details are sketchy whether she was collateral damage...

Or whether she was taken out because she was free and didn't conform to someone's ideal view of society.

But, it doesn't matter, the cause and effect are the same, she's gone and its seen as ok, since someone thought it was what was best for her.

The sheep have it all wrong.

Our society has become one of sheep who lovingly protect the wolves who devour anyone who questions their divine knowledge of what's best for them.

And because they commit the violence in the name of knowing what's best, the sheep barely bat an eye at the destruction, or the collateral damage it causes.

Whether someone's thrown in a rape camp because they had the audacity to own a specific plant, or ddin't want to donate to bombs dropped in some country most people know nothing about...

Or the police execute an innocent man for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and not complying fast enough (even as he begged for his life)...

Whether its a baby having her face blown off by a flash grenade...

Or scores of dogs gunned down for investigating visitors in their own yards...

Violence, and its collateral damage, is quietly swept under the rug because it was in the name of the all powerful State "knowing what's best for you."

But we can't let this monopoly of violence win.

The wolves portray anyone who differs as the aggressor. But if peaceful believers in freedom and the NAP continue living their lives the way they want...

Doing what they want, when they want, with whoever they want, as long as it hurts no one else...

Eventually, people will wake up that violence isn't the answer and we can finally all coexist in peace.

We've seen amazing strides, and technical advances like Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency provide more options for escaping the matrix and their monopoly of violence.

But until we find that freedom, keep your head down, because more murder, rape, and confinement is raining down. And take a lesson here...

RIP Molly, you escaped the matrix, lived free, and were an example and inspiration to us all.

I am sorry I didn't teach you to not trust matrix dwellers, not because they're evil, but because they've been brainwashed to think violence is ok when its done to support what THEY believe is right .

Let us not forget the lessons you've taught us. You will be missed.
