Today at work I was listening to the event Tom Woods put out as his 1000th episode. During the audience question portion of the event at man stood up and offered what I thought was a very unique perspective on the role of anarchy in today's society. So while I didn't write this I really wanted to share the idea.
The audience member described anarchy as a sort of North Star to steer the ship of society towards. In the days of ships and old navigation methods, ship captains would use the star to direct their boat. It's an object that, while it can never be truly reached, can have a real effect on the navigators direction.
Anarchy is our Polaris of freedom which can never be reached but, can and should always direct our society.
