The End of Protest and the Birth of Alt Governance

A lot of people in the U.S. are upset about the way our society is going. But what is the best way to channel that energy?
I recently spent a weekend in jail after protesting corruption in D.C., and had plenty of time to reflect on that question.
This short article will give my fundamental assumptions as well as a short conclusion on HOW we can best direct our feelings into creating a better future.

We are not free:

Constitutional rights, such as freedom of speech and assembly, have been gradually yet thoroughly diminished. [ 1, 2, 3]

Our government is an oligarchy:

The checks and balances have been systemically bypassed using laws and money. [4, 5, 6]

Justice has been corrupted:

evidence of corruption, supplied by the government, has not been acted upon. [7, 8, 9]

WHEREAS:

Political, police, and media forces necessary for positive change have been co-opted by the oligarchy

THEREFORE:

Creation of ALTERNATIVES to the existing system is the best way of expressing discontent with the status quo

Opting out of the existing system is a gradual process. The government exists because of our money and our beliefs; if we start putting these elsewhere, we begin to navigate to a better Earth.
