When I first suggested it to you some years ago you rejected it on the grounds that it only hurts taxpayers.
It was my contention that until taxpayers are hurt noting will change.
I don't see a direct admission that judge's salaries come out of the fines, but a lot of other people's do.
They have probably changed the language since I read it 25 years ago.
It appears to me that if the court fund doesn't have enough money to cover salaries the judges will catch hell about their courts not keeping up with expenses.

In Oklahoma a part of fines goes to the judge's retirement funds.
But, 'That isn't a conflict of interest.'
They, the da and judge, laughed at me when I mentioned it.

This is what I found in a quick search, fines are deposited to the court fund and bailiffs and employees are paid out of it.

It looks like the best I did was paying the retirement of the judge's employees.
However, it did include judge's robes and office remodeling.
