Government is evil because it seeks to restrict freedom. It exists as a "necessary evil" only because men fail to see it as evil and fail to take responsibility for the evil tendencies in themselves. As a result, they seek to externalize their own fearful thoughts and control other men with them through use of force. When each of us is responsible to and for ourselves, government as a way of external social order will naturally disappear.
