Could it be that when taking 1000's of pictures of a cube (Earth) and stitching them together, you get a straight line from top to bottom were there is some sort of distortion?
Actually I found this quite interesting. It appears to be a structure that joins the 2 poles. I wonder if that square raised section or "wall" as the OP put it is hollow or a tunnel. It doesn't make sense this is a stitching anomaly or artifact of google, but I'll admit I haven't a clue what this is or if it's even real. Since you included "conspiracy" in you list of tags maybe it's just some sort of psy-op :)
