I find it so incredibly impossible to believe that our lord and savior crapitalism has such a strong hold on your mind that you can't conceive of life outside of it.
Do you seriously contend that if the banksters locked up all the money in their gated communities that we, the people that do all the work, would just sit idly by while we starve?
That is what an 'economic downturn' is, the rich people locking up the money so nobody can have it but them.
The reality is that on next Tuesday the workers could just keep going to work while refusing to pay.
The only people that get bent out of shape are the oligarch crapitalusts.
They can only get as bent as they can afford thugs, the rich will not be manning the machine guns that keep the pitchforks out of the enclaves worldwide.
Once the cops figure out that they can go to the store for free just like a real worker we can hope that they will find productive things to do rather than bust skulls for a living.
