Lalbagh Fort (known as Forty Aurangabad), an unfinished Mughal fort built in the 17th century on the banks of Buriganga in the southwest of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Its construction started in 1678, by Mughal Subedar Muhammad Azam Shah, who was the emperor Aurangzeb's son and later he was also succeeded by the emperor. His successor, Mughal Subadar Shaista Khan, resumed the construction in 1680, but did not finish it.
