The Andaman and Nicobar Islands, one of the seven union territories of India, are a group of islands at the juncture of the Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea.

Home to most isolated tribe (JARAWA)

They are thought to be directly descended from the first human populations to emerge from Africa, and have probably lived in the Andaman Islands for up to 60,000 years. The point that their language is so different even from other Andaman islanders indicates that they have had little contact with other people for thousands of years.
