Maybe!

If we had loved without motive,

If we never tried being too perfect and just laughed over our common mistakes,

If we ignored all rules and love like the fools,

If we were not too careful and never set a limit to love,

If we had listened more to each other and talked less,

If we didn't take the trivial matters too seriously and the serious matters were not trivialized,

If we didn't have people tickled our ears with only what we wanted to hear,

If we gave each other more than we expected of each other,

If we prayed more often than we played,

If we collaborated more instead of competing with each other,

If ours was a love of no retreat no surrender and we never wanted a way out,

If we bottled up our pride and ego and tried loving like the kids,

If we weren’t too scared of failure that we never tried at all,

If we only spoke the truth and never consoled each other with
the lies,

If we agreed to played more often and fought less often,

Maybe we would still be together!
