Last night I attended the book launch for Jason Calacanis' new book - Angel, How to turn $100,000 into $100,000,000.
Jason was an early investor in Uber, which has obviously paid off nicely.
During one of the segment, Jason suggested taking $10,000 and investing a $1,000 in each of 10 companies.
7 of those ten will flop right away and 2 more will probably fade away in 18 months.
However, if one of the three is around 3 years later, you may have a "unicorn" on your hand.
$10,000 may be too much for people to shell out. However, with cryptocurrencies, this can be scaled to $100 divided 10 times between 10 currencies.
This should in no way be construed as investment advice but an approach and methodology for diversifying investment.
Taking a 3 to 5 year approach to investing can and should pay huge dividend.
Even if one does not hit a golden investment, the education alone will set you up for the next five year.
Love to hear any thoughts.
