The Flores Eagle (Spizaetus floris) is one of the endemic raptors of Indonesia. Unfortunately, the eagle flores that are endemic flocks of birds (Nusa Tenggara) is now the most endangered raptor because the population is estimated to not exceed 250 tails so that the red list (IUCN Redlist) as Critically Endangered (Critical). Conservation status and population is far below Java Eagle (Spizaetus bartelsi) whose conservation status is Endangered (Threatened).
The eagle flores (Spizaetus floris) were originally classified as subspecies of brontok eagle (Spizaetus cirrhatus) by scientific name (Spizaetus cirrhatus floris). But starting in 2005, the eagle flores were defined as individual species. And at that time, the eagle flores that are endemic raptors of Nusa Tenggara were awarded Critically Endangered conservation status. Hawk flores in English are known as Flores Hawk-eagle. In scientific language (latin) is known as Sporisetus floris.
Characteristic features. The eagle flores have a moderate body size, with an adult body measuring about 55 cm. on the head of white hair and sometimes have brown lines on the crown.
The body of the eagle flores is brown blackish. While the chest and stomach raptor endemic flores is overgrown with white feathers with a thin reddish-brown color. The brook eagle tail is brown with a dark line of six. While the foot of this endemic bird is white.

UPDATE: The official name of the Flores Eagle genus has now changed from Spizaetus to Nisaetus. So the latin name of this official animal is Nisaetus floris.
