The European hedgehog is one spectacular creature this cosmos has created. Imagine growing fingernails out of your head with spikes at the end, thats one messed up image I would say but still is the concept with this creature. It has calcium deposits on its back. In my mind that is one rare ability any creature may conjure threw the evolution theory. Many sciences still try to figure out were this creature got the ability of calcium spikes as an defense from predictors. I can only imagine they came from caves where there where deadly death eating bats and after 1000s of years of getting plucked from the bottom of the cave they developed these calcium deposits like a armadillo and after years of natural selection the strong ones with thorougher pointier spikes forced these death eating bats from plucking them off the bottom being able to sway and maneuver threw the rocks and tunnels of the woulds death caves...
