Within the prison walls of every zoo sit tortured souls with empty eyes and broken spirits .
This monkey who snatched a bag of sunflower seeds right out of my hand, ran off to the corner, opened the bag and ate the whole thing, one by one. Obviously his best tasting meal in a long time.
The more animals we saw, the worst I felt for them. Trapped in such small living spaces, almost all of the animals looked depressed and malnourished.
